Long awaited road, trail, and recreational improvements have begun at the base of Boulder Canyon. Temporary scheduled weekday canyon road closures are taking place;
Weekday mornings between the hours of 9 and 11 am
Weekday afternoons between the hours of 1 and 3 pm
An alternate route to and from Boulder is available during these periods, see map below.
We are excited, a $31 million dollar canyon improvement project is now underway. Major improvements to the Boulder Canyon pedestrian trail system, including additional trail links, and additional recreational opportunities for hikers, cyclists, climbers, kayakers, tubers, fishermen, and nature enthusiasts are being created. Significant upgrades to Boulder Canyon Drive are also being undertaken.
The Alps Boulder Canyon Inn sits at the heart of a park system that includes City of Boulder Mountain Parks, the Boulder County Betasso Preserve, and Roosevelt National Forest. Years of planning have gone into the development of a trail, and recreational system linking the three. The trail's planners have worked with the Alps' owners to incorporate the property into this extraordinary project. The trail system comes to the Alps' doorstep, and will bring an unprecedented number of recreational opportunities to our guests.
Minimal interruption of the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn's guests or operations are anticipated.
